NB: There is a competitor-specific FAQ section in the Entries & results section.

What time do the gates open?
The start time of the action in the Longines International Arena differs daily, but the gates are open from 8am every day for the general public.

What is the difference between a Members' Enclosure & General Admission ticket?
A General Admission ticket grants the bearer access to the general showground, and all of its facilities, as well as both of our public grandstands. A Members' Enclosure ticket grants the bearer access to not only the general showground and grandstands, but also to the Members' Enclosure. The Members' Enclosure boasts a grandstand with the best views on the showground, as well as our Members' Restaurant, Members' Lawn and the Champagne Bar and viewing deck. Daily Members' Enclosure tickets are available, and upgrades can be purchased on the showground on the day of your visit.

Are picnics allowed on the showground?
Yes picnics are absolutely allowed on the showground, although don't forget that we have a host of restaurants, bars and yummy catering concessions to choose from too.

Are dogs allowed on the showground?
We are very dog friendly, but dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, largely for their own safety. We respectfully ask you to help us keep our showground clean, and clean up after your dog. It is forbidden to leave dogs in cars, and if we see any dogs in distress we will take action.

Is there Wi-Fi?
No, there is no free Wi-Fi on site.

Do you have a list of recommended accommodation?
Yes, please visit our Hotel and B&B listings page.

Where is the nearest train station?
The nearest train stations to Hickstead are Burgess Hill and Haywards Heath. For full directions and timetabling information please visit our How To Find Us page

Is there a taxi drop-off point on the showground?
Yes. Taxis can drop passengers directly on to the showground, and will be directed to the relevant area on an event specific basis. Please ensure your admission badges are clearly visible for inspection upon arrival. Where possible, taxis will be given fast-track access to the showground to minimise queuing. Local taxi numbers can be found here

Is there wheelchair access?

Priority is given to Blue Badge holders who will be parked in our designated Disabled parking area which is close to a road leading to the Longines International Arena. A general parking ticket is required, but there is no need to book Blue Badge parking. A hard standing driveway leads to rings 2- 5 and the Roger Stack Arena. Some areas are totally on grass, including national ringside viewing and the Village Green at The Longines Royal International Horse Show.

The Members’ Enclosure has a viewing area on the terrace of the Champagne Bar which overlooks the Longines International Arena.

The Laurent-Perrier Ringside Terrace offers exceptional viewing for an upgrade of £6 on general admission. Carers receive free admission to the event - this needs to be booked by telephoning the Hickstead Office in advance 01273 834315. Mobility scooters can be hired on site from Advanced Mobility and booked in advance here, or by calling 01274 297777.

The Members' Enclosure & Private Hospitality

What is the dress code within the Members' Restaurant and Private Viewing Boxes?
Smart-casual, although on Ladies' Day, the Saturday of the Longines RIHS, the stakes are upped and there are prizes galore for the Best Dressed Filly, and the colt with the most sartorial flare!

Do I need to be a member to eat in the Members' Restaurant?

Yes, however if you have booked hospitality in the Members’ Restaurant, we will upgrade your ticket on the day from a General Admission to a Members’.
